Hand-painted tile – ethnic style
The production of hand-painted ceramic tiles is one of Morocco's most traditional crafts. In small workshops, glazed clay tiles are painted with fine brushes by experienced artisans. During this step, the colors initially appear reserved - they only develop their full luminosity during the second firing process in the kiln, when the glaze and pigments permanently fuse together.
This hand-painted tile features a vibrant ornament of curved lines, floral elements and geometric shapes. The strong colors of blue, green, orange and white form a harmonious contrast on the light background. The fine dark lines that outline every detail are typical of hand-painted Moroccan tiles and give the pattern its clear structure.
Traditional hand painted ceramic tiles from Morocco
Hand-painted tiles reflect the diversity of oriental ornamental art. From geometric star shapes to floral flowers to curved braided patterns, artistic decorative tiles are created that have been part of Moroccan ceramic culture for centuries. Each glazed clay tile is individually designed and is therefore truly unique.
Ideal for kitchen, bathroom and decorative wall surfaces
With their format of around 10 × 10 cm, these Moroccan tiles are ideal as decorative wall tiles. They are particularly popular as a tile backsplash or back wall in the kitchen and as a colored tile strip in the bathroom or guest toilet.
Such ceramic tiles also create a special ambience in cafés, restaurants or catering establishments. They are suitable for counter cladding, small wall surfaces or decorative accents. In old buildings, in country house style or in boho interiors, different motifs can be wonderfully combined to form a lively patchwork.
